Therapy in Kenya | Individual and Couples Counselling
Functioning Well Isn’t the Same as Feeling Well
Emotional disconnection, relationship strain, identity pressure, and chronic fatigue are not signs of weakness; they’re signals that something deeper needs attention, both within you and in how you relate to others.
Individual and Couples Counselling
This counseling service is designed for people who are managing life on the surface but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck underneath. For individuals, this might look like burnout, overthinking, or feeling emotionally shut down. For couples, it can show up as recurring conflict, communication breakdown, or a growing sense of distance. Therapy creates a structured space to understand what’s actually happening beneath these patterns and begin to shift them.

My Therapeutic Approach
I’m a licensed therapist, registered with the Counsellors and Psychologists Board, and my work is grounded in evidence-based therapy. In individual and couples counselling, we focus on identifying the patterns beneath the surface; emotional suppression, over-responsibility, communication cycles, and identity adaptations that keep you stuck. This is structured, collaborative work. We move beyond surface-level symptoms to understand what’s driving them, while building emotional regulation and expanding your capacity to respond differently over time. Sessions are paced with intention, giving space to explore, while maintaining direction and focus. The goal is not just short-term relief, but lasting change, where how you function is aligned with how you actually feel.

Your Counseling Journey
Every counseling experience is unique but clarity about process reduces uncertainty and allows the work to deepen more efficiently.
Clarity Call
A focused consultation to understand your current concerns, assess fit, and determine whether counselling is appropriate for what you are experiencing. This is not a therapy session, but a structured conversation about direction.
Informed Consent & Service Agreement
Before we begin, you’ll receive clear documentation outlining:
- The counseling process
- Confidentiality and ethical standards
- Your rights and responsibilities as a client
This ensures full transparency and mutual understanding from the outset.
Intake and Assessment
We examine your history, current functioning, stress patterns, emotional regulation, and the identity pressures shaping your experience. This establishes a working formulation, not just symptoms, but the underlying dynamics.
Ongoing Therapy Sessions
All sessions are 60-minutes and virtual, focused on understanding patterns, building awareness, and creating meaningful change.
Frequency and Duration
Sessions are generally scheduled weekly to establish continuity and depth. As stability and clarity increase, frequency may be adjusted. While some concerns can be addressed within a few months, identity strain, chronic burnout, or high-functioning depression often require sustained work over time.
